a few weeks ago i received THE BEST PENCIL SHARPENER from classroom friendly supplies.
i introduced it to my class right away, and after some practice using their small 7 year-old hands to hold it in place they were hooked. now no other sharpener will do! some of the second graders just like to sit and sharpen pencils in their free time now! it’s silly how much they love it!
my second graders wrote reviews of the sharpener and you can see a few above - they told me: “we love this sharpener because our pencils get SO super sharp and they hardly ever break inside of it. and when they do it’s really easy for Sami to “unclog” the sharpener. so it’s great!” (i agree)

Alright all, we’re going to give this a go! Sometime over the weekend of December 12th-13th share a recipe along with a photo of the finished meal so we can all ohhhh and ahhhhh over your awesomeness! I know I’ll be tapping into your collective genius for some yummy meals to get through the last week before break! Here’s all the details:
When: Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th
Theme: Easy Dinners (Crockpot/30 minute or less meals)
What to do:
- Make your meal (yum! dinner is ready in a snap for you to enjoy!)
- Post a picture and the recipe on your blog. Feel free to link to the recipe if you found it elsewhere, and fill us in on any changes you made.

And the removal of replies has totally destroyed that feeling.
I feel disconnected from everyone on here. There’s no conversation any more. You can reblog, sure, but that’s really just a series of isolated declarations. Replies are the best wishes, the greetings, the brief comments, that begin a connection.
I’ve made friendships through this website that I hope to have for the rest of my life. Next year I hope to be visiting more than 15 different people through the Americas that I never would have known existed without the communities on this website.
But as it is currently, forming any more friendships is functionally impossible. We’ve gone from a group of people sharing views and conversations with each other, sometimes happily, sometimes less so, but at least INTERACTING, to a crowd of people all yelling our views and opinions up in the air, unable to carry a real conversation.
TL;DR - @david’s decision to remove replies sucks, and now I feel lonely on this site.
